另外,他不含卤素, 阻燃要用ATH .
与CPE比,有如下特点 供参考
Let me summarize what we discussed:
The current compound is based on
-CM 135 B (a 35% Cl) Weipren CPE grade
-medium filled with silica and CaCO3
-peroxide cured with DCP and TAIC
-Sb2O3
-chloro-paraffin
properties/specifications:
tensile strenght 12 MPa
elongation 200%
flame retardent
10 MPas tensile and 200% elongation
LOI should be 39%
general purpose rubber cable jacket application
Problems:
Mooney too high
aging resistance not so good
smoke density high / high smoke toxicity ?
LOI need to be higher, 39% minimum
Please let me know whether I got the things right or not.
I see 2 options:
a. use a blend of Levapren and CPE
expected effect:
heat aging will improve
Mooney will decrease
Compression set will improve
Cpd can be higher filled
less HCl in the smoke, smoke density lower, due to the dilution effect
costs: slightly higher
b. use a formulation based on Levapren alone
effect:
halogen-free, environmetally friendly, broad acceptance
filler is ATH (9 to 12 m2 BET) at 150 phr with Levapren 700 HV
or at 190 phr ATH with Levapren 500 HV
LOI at ca 39%
high heat resistance, good compression set
low compound Mooney
costs: higher, the higher VA grade is generally more expensive but easier to make flame retardant.
Here I send you a study on blends of CM and CSM with Levapren EVM as background info. We have not yet done a study for a typical cable compound.
If you want to chose the blend option then I suggest to use a blend 50% CM and 50% Levapren 500 HV.
The filler composition should be changed: no silica, use CaCO3 40 phr and 100 phr ATH (6 m2 is ok here). The more ATH the higher the LOI. The silica will not contribute to the flame resistance.
Sb2O3 and chloroparaffine contribute to flame resistance but the smoke behavior is not good.
For the Levapren alone formulation you can use a Levapren 500 HV with the high ATH loading to achieve the necessary flame resistance. I can give you a more detailed recipe if you want to try this as well.
