消费者在使用 便携式风扇和电暖器 ( 取暖器、暖风机 ) 时普遍存在四种使用状况：

1 ) 消费者将风扇和电暖器或其他物体压在电源线上。

2 ) 消费者将风扇和电暖器推靠到墙边夹到电源线。

3 ) 消费者将风扇和加热器的电源线暴露在人会来回走动的地方。

4 ) 消费者在储存期间，电线暴露也会损坏。

“R”类就是增加以下4项测试内容

一、-R型在UL62没有定义R的名词，仅作为区分电缆型号的代码；（-R型需要额外增加4项测试，如下：）

Cords marked with the ″-R″ suffix as indicated in Clause 6.2.4(g) shall comply with the requirements

-R: Riser

-No Suffix, -G: General purpose

-X: Limited residential use

Some wire and cable may also have a suffix ―-LS‖ or "ST1" which means that the entire construction complies with the requirements for flame retardant, limited smoke wiring materials as evaluated per UL 83, UL 1685 or UL 2556.
