Brief History

Back in 1859, operating under the name of J.M. Bauer, the company serviced the needs of metal wire drawing shops.

As industrialization progressed, the company recognized the growing demand for multi-die single-wire drawing machines.

The company changed its name to MASCHINENFABRIK NIEHOFF KG on January 1st, 1951 and the success story that stretches back to the early years has continued ever since.

Together with its partners, NIEHOFF develops production systems which address all of the needs and preferences of wire and cable manufacturers.

Constant improvements are incorporated into the production systems, reflecting the latest advances in technology.

The family-owned company combines an awareness of tradition with a pronounced enthusiasm for innovation.
